Just licensed last week, AF6IM (Mark) hopes to have a few freefall QSOs soon on two meters. He is working on equipping his helmet with ANR earphones and using a throat mic to handle the roar from freefall speeds which can exceed 200 mph in a head down position. Antenna height should not be a problem, at least during the first 60 seconds. Mark's 18 year old son Eric took the license exam with him and is now KI6PQR. Mark's 15 year old daughter Amy thinks a ham license is "a government issued NERD certificate", but Mark and Eric hope to change her mind soon.

I keep a small shack at my office. It's the Ten-Tec Pegasus, running to a Hustler 6BTV with 18 buried radials. The computer runs N4PY and DX4WIN software. Just don't tell my secretary! -73- de W4SK
