Worked great for 8 months Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This mount worked flawlessly for 8 months and I was very happy with it. Easy to install. However, a week ago the motor stopped working. I have power getting to the motor but nothing happens. The worst part is that I’ve emailed Diamond twice with no response and calls to their business is useless. I keep getting the message that their mailbox is full and to call back later. I wish there was another product to switch to

Lots of work to mount it! Not worth it. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought this device for two reasons: 1. I park in a garage, and 2. I didn't plan to drill into my car's body. The device looks out of place when mounted and the mounting arrangement is poorly designed. I purchased the K9000LRM model and found it would not fit on my Subaru luggage-rack rails. Made an exchange for the LRMO model that offers larger mounting plates. This unit also would not mount well, so I modified it--cut off pieces and eliminated the 90-degree piece. Two #12 self-drilling screws into the luggage-rack aluminum rail did the trick. What a pain, though.

I'll make my own mount when I have time so it has a lower profile and doesn't shout "steal me" in parking lots. I bought an NMO antenna fitting from a 3rd-party supplier. It was too large for the Antenna Mount hole so I had to drill it out larger.

If I had known all the trouble it would take to mount this unit I would have skipped the project and taken an HT and a small amplifier with me in the car.

2 years zero problems K9000 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
If you look up my QRZ and YouTube posts you'll see the great demands that I have placed on the K9000 actuators. I have not given them an easy existence. But, they keep on giving me good service. I have hit branches. I have forgotten to lower my antennas as I pulled into my garage. I have driven in high headwinds at highway speeds. Yet, these two K9000 workhorses keep faithfully raising and lowering my Laird 2m and my 2016 model Alpha Moto HF antenna, month after month, and year after year, despite harsh road conditions here in CT. I have nothing but praise for these two that I have installed and working on my mobile.

ONly lasts a few months Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been through 3 of these and I'm tired of replacing them. The motor just stops working. I checked with a meter and the power is getting there, switch and wiring are all good. It's a great idea and I really want it to work, but it's just too expensive to spend over $100 at least once a year.

When it fails junk it! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I was really happy with my mount for over a year. I made a nice magnetic base and put it on the roof of the Avalanche. All of a sudden it just failed to move down. I opened it up and found a tiny microswitch that had been damaged and bits and pieces of plastic gears inside. definitely not heavy duty. Would love to have another but don't feel like wasting 100 bucks. Guess I will just find a place to permanently mount the antennas that will not hit the garage door, at a lower height.

Well worth the money Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My unit has gone through Five Canadian winters, never missed a operation.
Even ran into the garage several times with the antenna up, just had to help it down a little, no problems. Dave VA3DUX

Great Product! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Works like a champ. No issues. The over size luggage rack mount did not fit my Ford Expedition. Had to fabricate a bracket. But the installation was simple. The unit runs smooth as silk. Very pleased

Works well on my daily driver Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have the K9000LRMO which is the oversized version for the luggage rack mount. It sits center of my SUV roof and works very well lifting and lowering the Diamond NR770HB antenna on my daily driver so I can keep it in the garage.

The 5 is because I forgot to lower the antenna one time and it clipped my garage door. The mechanism in the mount let the antenna drop down...well it was forced to release it as I entered the garage. No problems raising it right back up. No damage to mount or antenna. This product works very well for my needs.

I'm still cautious Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Before I bought the Diamond K9000 motorized mount, I checked the reviews on eham.net, and several other sites. Some of the reviews had me worried, but most gave favorable reviews.
I purchased the K9000LRM on October 28, 2013 and installed it on my vehicle a couple of days later.
First of all, I *love* the way it works.
Unfortunately on December 11, 2013, as I was going through a McDonald's drive through, I pressed the DOWN button (because of the low overhead clearance)...and NOTHING HAPPENED. No motor movement -- not even a noise.
So I had to to pull in to a parking spot so that I could remove the antenna from the K9000 before heading through the drive-through.
Once I got home, I did some tests on the unit and discovered that 12V was being supplied to the motor, but the motor didn't care.
As I said, I really enjoyed the way the K9000 worked...before it STOPPED working. I contacted Diamond, and the K9000 motor is on its way back for repair/replacement. I really hope that when I receive the repaired/replaced unit that I will get considerably more than three months of usefulness out of it the next time around.

Five years later... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Wrote my last review over five years ago. My motorized mount is still working flawlessly. I've even driven into the garage a few times and forgot to put the antenna down; no problem because the mount just folds down without breaking (though the antenna takes a beating). I highly recommend this mount.
